Eastern Shore Consolidated School Site Selection
The Province of Nova Scotia is seeking feedback from students, families, and the greater Eastern Shore school community as it considers where to build the new Eastern Shore Consolidated School.
In December 2020, following public consultation, the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) recommended to the Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development that Gaetz Brook Junior High be consolidated with Eastern Shore District High. That recommendation was confirmed and a site needs to be selected for the new school.
To solicit feedback about site selection, the province will be using the same approach the Halifax Regional Centre for Education used when engaging the community about the consolidation. We are offering multiple options for people to select the way that works best for them to share their thoughts and ideas. This will also allow you to provide feedback at the time most convenient.
