School Bus Manifest Checks

Once a year, HRCE’s bus providers complete manifest checks on all routes. Manifest checks for the 2024-25 school year will be conducted in the coming weeks.

 

What is a manifest check? A manifest is a passenger list that contains the names, contact information and any necessary medical details of all children assigned to a specific bus route. These annual checks ensure that our passenger lists are up to date.

 

How are manifest checks completed? Bus drivers will take attendance on their bus in the morning and afternoon so they can build an accurate list of riders on their route. This information is then shared with the HRCE Student Transportation team, the school, and the bus provider to ensure that passenger lists match the information we have on file.

 

Please note that while drivers do their best to complete these checks as quickly and efficiently as possible, some buses may be delayed by a few minutes while this process is underway.
