Exam Protocol
1) Students are expected to arrive and be seated 5 minutes prior to the start of the exam. Students must take care of any washroom needs prior to the exam. Should they have to go to the washroom during the exam, please let the invigilating teacher know.
2) Students must be prepared with necessary materials for the exam (pen’s pencil, eraser etc...)
3) All electronic devices, including headphone/earbuds and watches must be turned off and placed in the student’s bag, coat (all left at front of room) or locker.
4) All student belongings will be placed in the front of the room or other designated area identified by the attending teacher
5) Any student engaged in any activity that is disruptive or can be interpreted as cheating (talking, looking on others notes, phone out, etc…) may be asked to forfeit their exam and may earn a zero.
6) If a student arrives late, they are to report to the office.
7) If a student is unable to attend an exam at the scheduled time due to medical or extenuating circumstances, a guardian must contact the office ASAP.
8) Returning of school property – please remind and ensure school property is returned to library on the day of your exam or earlier.
9) If a student is unable to stay for the 60 minutes and the students have reviewed their exam, teachers may pass out an exit slip for the students to return to the office. The students may then proceed to the library, cafeteria, go outside or arrange for drive home.
10) 11) Students may be more comfortable wearing a ball cap or toque. It is the teacher’s discretion to ensure there are no built-in earphones or cheat notes should a student prefer to wear their hat
11) A reminder for teachers to be actively monitoring the students when they are supervising exams.

Remember, there is no substitute for hard work. Prepare for exams by organizing yourself to be the best you can be. Study hard but remember to take some time for yourself. You got this Schooners!
