Today we wear red in honour of the National day of awareness for missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. There have been over 4000 reports of Indigenous females missing or murdered since 1980. In 2019, there was a national inquiry into the missing and murdered Indigenous females, which reinforced the existence of acts of genocide towards those people. Along with red ribbons available in the lobby, we have started a letter writing campaign. Please be sure to sign your name today; this will also be in the lobby at lunch.

Local ESDH scholarships and bursaries have been updated on Ms d’Entremont’s website. Deadlines are from May 26 until June 15. They are given based on where you live, financial need, programs you will attend, service in the community, family ties and some are based on grades.
