General Announcements: 

Our School Liaison Dawn Gardiner is planning a field trip for grade twelve students who are considering entering the workforce after graduating this year to attend the HRM Spring Job Fair on April 17th in Halifax.  Transportation will be provided by Mackie Bus Tours.  Pick up will be at 9:00 am here at ESDH and will arrive back by 3:00 pm for dismissal. If you are interested please sign up at the office and pick up the required permission slip.  If you have questions please see Mrs. Gardiner today in room 203.

Mascot idea submission forms are available in the office. Come have your say in picking our new school Mascot and new school colours.

Attention grade 12 graduating class! ESDH is moving forward  with the class of 2024 Valedictorian selection process! This is a great honour to commemorate the journey you and your classmates took to reach graduation and to address our entire school community! It is something that is sure to make your family proud for years to come. If you are interested in giving an interesting, clever, funny, and moving speech to your graduating class, families, and school staff, please write a 5-10 minute speech. We are asking that you present your speech to the best of your abilities on video. Feel free to use a phone. Please see Mr. Stoffman for tips, guidance, and the scoring rubric as early as possible. Please share your best version with hstoffman@gnspes.ca by April 30th. If you have any questions or need help, please do not hesitate to ask!

Student Council Announcements:

Anyone participating in Humans vs Zombies this week can pay $5 in advance to Student Council Reps in the Foyer at lunch today and tomorrow.  It’s $7 if you are renting materials.

Track and field practice after school today for throwing events. Please wear appropriate clothing for outdoors!  Practice tomorrow, after school as well; we will be in the gym for running and jumping. These are not tryouts yet, so all are welcome to come join. See Mr Watt with any questions.
