Eastern Shore District High School

Toonies for Autism Campaign

Students supported by the Learning Centre will be participating in a campaign to celebrate neurodiversity and increase understanding and acceptance of autism as part of Autism Acceptance Month. The campaign is called Toonies for Autism and is organized by Autism Nova Scotia.

Our students will run their campaign from April 19th to April 30th. Starting April 19th, there will be a table set up in the lobby during lunch at which staff and students will have the opportunity to make a donation. Each person who donates a toonie will receive a sticker, provided by Autism NS.

Half of the funds raised will be donated to Autism Nova Scotia and the other half will be for ESDH to purchase resources to support students who have autism.

On April 30th, staff and students are invited to wear blue in recognition of increasing the awareness and acceptance of Autism.

The Learning Centre crew thanks you for your support!
