Schoons Hockey Home Opener tomorrow night 7pm at our Rink. Students- see a player for a free ticket.

The girls’ soccer team lost to Mosaique 5-2 on Friday. Goals were scored by Leigha Pye and Ashley Reynolds. We get another shot at beating them today in our playoff game this afternoon. 

Congrats to Sam Sinclair, Lillian Mosher, and Andrew Colbourne for representing ESDH at the regional cross-country meet last Thursday. They all had strong runs including some personal bests.

Sports history fact: on this day in 1989 Wayne Gretzky became the all-time leading points scorer in the National Hockey League.

Girls away Volleyball game at 6pm

Boys hockey practice at 7pm

The Girls’ soccer team played an awesome game yesterday, beating Sommet 6-3 and finishing second in the league! Ashley Reynolds had a hat trick and Lexie Marsh scored two great penalty shots. Nadia Jakeman added a single, also on a penalty shot. Lily Keizer made some key stops in net as Sommet increased their attack.The girls will now play an important “play-in game” vs Mosaique to determine seeding for the playoffs next week.

Did you know that Saturday was world teacher appreciation day? A Card, email or a kind word are all great ways to show your thanks and appreciation for the amazing teachers in your life.

Band/Music Announcements:

A reminder to all Musical Theatre students to get your lyrics package from Ms. Penwell today. It is on the front of her door, you can pick it up anytime. 

Jazz Band will rehearse Wednesday morning. 

Grade 11-12 Band will rehearse Thursday at lunch. 

Raffle tickets for the London trip are due on October 18th. If any students would like more of these, please see Ms. Penwell.

Today is National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, we add our voice to the collective call to bring an end to the injustices suffered by Canada’s Indigenous Women and Girls.

The girls’ soccer team came away with another win yesterday, beating Sacred Heart 3-1. Ashley Reynolds scored two goals and Lexie Marsh had one. Katelyn Parsons and Lianna Hill stepped up and did great in the nets for us. We play on Tuesday at home vs Sommet.
