 Welcome Week begins tomorrow and wear pink for anit-bullying day.
 Mascot tryouts are in the gym today at lunch.  The sign-up sheet is in the lobby.
 Friday is the Root Beer Mile and wear your crazy hats or sunglasses. 
 Thursday next week is Schooner Day so wear blue and yellow.  There will be Shore trivia in the cafeteria at lunch.
 Friday is the BBQ and Twin Day. 
 The Spirit Store will be open today and all week. 
 First Council meeting is on Tuesday at lunch in Ms. Watson’s Room 204.
 Girl’s Soccer tryouts are today and Friday from 3:30 – 5:00 pm.  Tryouts will go ahead if it is sprinkling.
 There will be a meeting tomorrow in Room 225for any girls interested in playing hockey.
 The boys hockey tryouts signup list is posted for anyone trying out.

 Volleyball tryouts are on Monday from 6:30 -8:30pm and Tuesday at 7:00-8:50am

 The nurse practioner is here on Wednesdays from 12 – 3.

 Boys Soccer tryouts are on Thursday afterschool from 3:30 – 5:30pm

 All band students in Grades 11-12 are reminded that morning rehearsals start this Friday at 7:45 am

 There is a sign up for jazz band in the band room for anyone interested in playing in the group this year.

 The Halifax Regional Arts is now auditioning for Elf Junior, an HRCE-wide musical that will be held from December 11-14 at Dartmouth High.  Please see the office for more information.

 There will be a free of charge “Intro to Wheel Throwing” workshop for interested junior and senior high students on September 16, 23, and 30 (Monday nights) from 6:00-7:30pm at Rocky Lake Junior High. Students will be introduced to ceramic throwing techniques on a pottery wheel. All work will be fired by the instructor and students will be responsible for picking up their fired work on Monday, October 7 between 6:00-6:30pm.
